Home-Made V-Day Rosewater Chocolate Truffles
Approximately £95Million worth of chocolate is sold the week leading up to Valentine’s Day in the UK, so I decided to make my own chocolate truffles with rose water to help bring that number down ever so slightly. (Who am I kidding?)
What you will need:
370g dark chocolate broken into pieces
500ml double cream
6 tablespoon of rose water extract (you can add more for a stronger flavor)
Bring the cream and rose water to a simmer. Pour the cream over the chocolate and combine until melted.
Pour the chocolate mixture out on a 2cm deep tray lined with a greaseproof paper and leave to set in the fridge.
Once set start to shape the chocolate into small balls, then roll them in a mixture of cocoa powder and icing sugar (you can add some crushed crystalized rose petals if you like) Don’t worry if they don’t look identical, they are home made!
Delicious on their own or with pink champagne!
